CLANNAD

Based on the highly popular Japanese visual novels of the same name, CLANNAD was highly popular throughout the 2000s.

Haikyu!!

The sports genre has exploded in popularity since the start of the 21st century. One of the most popular sports anime to date, Haikyu!! is finally available to stream on Netflix. While Netflix doesn’t have the full 62 episodes, there’s plenty here to whet your appetite.

Hinata Shouyou aspires to become a great Volleyball player after watching the national championship match. Despite his small stature, Shouyou isn’t deterred and starts his own Volleyball team in middle school. After facing a crushing defeat in a competition against the star player Kageyama Tobio, Shouyou promises to become a better player. Joining the high school he watched compete in the national championship match, Shouyou is determined to find a place in their Volleyball team.


K-ON! The Movie (2011)

The K-On! series was widely popular in the late noughties, and like most anime that’s incredibly popular, it received the movie treatment. If you’re a big fan of K-On! then you’re certain to adore their feature-length movie.

One of the most influential anime of the late noughties, K-On! was a smash hit Japan. Based on the manga series of the same name by Kakifly, the popularity of K-On! exploded upon the release of the anime series. By 2011 the series has made over ¥15 Billion. K-On! is a great title for Netflix to introduce new subscribers to the world of anime.

5 young high school girls become best friends through a light music club. Yui the lead guitarist, Tsumugi the keyboardist, Mio the bassist, Azusa the rhythm guitarist, and Ritsu the drummer are 5 aspiring musicians on their journey through high school.


Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!

Around the time Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions released in 2012, try as you will but you couldn’t escape Rikka, as she was absolutely everywhere. Fans jump from one cute anime character to another but Rikka dominated for three years, with her reign ending in 2014.

Yuta once suffered with “Chunibyo”, believing he possessed supernatural powers, but his delusions alienated him from his fellow classmates. After graduating from Junior High, Yuta yearns for a normal life, free from his former embarrassing behavior. After accidentally entering a contract with a fellow classmate, the delusional Rikka, she discovers Yuta’s former past and soon disrupts his attempts at a normal life.

Maid-Sama!

The popularity Maid-Sama spawned from its manga run in the mid-2000s, running all the way through to September 2013. Your usual run of the mill romance anime series, we’re certain plenty will be tuning in for Maid-Sama on Netflix.

The once all-boy Seika High School was a terrifying place, known for its wild and delinquent students. When the school finally becomes co-ed, the girls are still completely outnumbered by the boys. Determined to make a change, Misaki Ayuzawa takes it upon herself to reform the school, eventually becoming the first female school-council president. Earning herself a reputation as an uptight, boy hating dictator, it all comes under threat when her secret part-time job at a Maid-Cafe is discovered by heartthrob Takumi Usui after discovering Misaki in her uniform after school.


Garden of Words

Short in comparison to other anime films, Garden of Words is a great little film, filled to the brim with emotion. As a slice of life or romance titles go, its the perfect little number to watch on a rainy afternoon.

A lonely 15-year-old high school student, Takao Akizuki, finds comfort in speaking to a mysterious older woman that also shares her feelings of isolation.


Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded-Orphans:

Mech anime titles have always been fiercely popular none more so than any series related to Gundam. The series wasn’t based upon a manga series, but one was produced alongside the release of the anime. The Iron-Blooded Orphans is a fantastic series than any anime lover can fall in love with.

After the disastrous calamity war, 300 years later on the terraformed planet Mars, a group of child security agents rebel against the adults who betrayed them and the oppressive Earth government.

Dino Girl Gauko

Created by Akira Shigino, Dino Girl Gauko is one of the latest anime titles to Netflix. One for the children, we’re certain they will love it.

When she gets angry, middle schooler Naoko turns into fierce dinosaur Gauko! Thanks to friends, aliens and more, her life is full of wacky incidents.


Girls und Panzer der Film

Genre: Action Comedy | Netflix Release Date: November 22nd, 2019

One of the most bizarre anime out there here’s cute anime girls riding around in tanks. That is all.

Ooari girls academy faces closer once again and the Tankery club girls must participate in another match to save their school from permanent closure!


Levius

Genre: Action, Drama | Netflix Release Date: November 28th, 2019

After the recent success of Original martial art animes like Baki and Kengan Ashura, we suspect Levius will also be a smash hit with subscribers. Despite the apprehension behind the CGI animation, Levius still looks beautiful, and if it’s half as good as the manga of which it’s based, then subscribers are in for a treat. Arriving at the end of November, you won’t want to miss out on Levius!

After his parents become casualties of war, Levius is taken in by his uncle Zack. Under Zack’s tutelage, Levius immerses himself into the world of mechanical martial arts, a brutal new sport separate from that of traditional bouts. As his innate ability for martial arts begins to blossom, he begins to capture the attention of strong and dangerous opponents.
