Glow Season 3 – new on Netflix for August 9th
Happy Friday and welcome to a big Friday Netflix update with plenty of new titles to watch. Today in the United States, 11 new titles landed on Netflix which range from new movies, stand-up, documentaries and series. Here’s a look at some of the big new titles and the full list of everything new.
As always, we do the daily additions for Netflix right here and if there’s nothing you like, check back again tomorrow. There’s plenty to look forward to with most of the best additions stacked for the end of the week.
Now let’s take a look at what’s new for August 9th, 2019:
GLOW (Season 3) N

Our main highlight today is the return of the Glorious Ladies of Wrestling. The true story of the group that dominated headlines several decades ago has gotten three seasons under its belt and the third is unequivocally the best yet.
With an all-star cast, we hope this show continues its run with a fourth season which we’ll look into the possibility of over the weekend.
iZombie (Season 5)
Genre: Comedy, Crime, Drama, Horror
Cast: Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley
Earlier in the week, we got the final season of Jane the Virgin and now a couple of days later, it’s time to say goodbye to Olivia Moore. The CW show which sees a young girl who turned into a zombie help investigate murders by having flashbacks of the brains she eats.
It’s been an eventful five seasons and now all can be enjoyed on Netflix in full for the next few years.
Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling (2019) N
Genre: Animation, Short, Action, Adventure, Comedy, Family
Director: Joe Murray, Cosmo Segurson
Cast: Carlos Alazraqui, Tom Kenny, Mr. Lawrence, Charlie Adler
One of two Nickelodeon pickups this month includes the 45 minute special for Rocko’s Modern Life. The hit 90s series was announced be getting the special several years back with Nick failing to find a suitable release date. It was then Netflix who decided to give it a home.
Here’s what you can expect from the movie:
After 20 years in space, Rocko returns to a technologically advanced O-Town and makes it his mission to get his favorite show back on the air.

1 New Stand-up Specials Added Today
- Colin Quinn: Red State Blue State (2019)
Two Netflix Original stand-up specials made their return to Netflix this week having been removed over the past few weeks. These include I’m Brent Morin (2015) and Jim Jefferies: BARE (2014). We’re not sure why they left but in past instances, it has come down to technical difficulties or licensing issues.
