New Releases on Netflix: November 23rd, 2019

Popeye is now on Netflix US

Happy Saturday and Netflix is not stopping with the fantastic new unannounced releases this week. Today, we saw another six brand new titles added to Netflix including some classic movies and a new hit Chinese show coming to Netflix with new weekly episodes.

We’ll take you through some of the new movie highlights below but we’ve also given you some of the other movies that have released over the past 7 days in our highlights.

Popeye (1980)

Genre: Adventure, Comedy, Family, Fantasy, Musical, Romance
Director: Robert Altman
Cast: Robin Williams, Shelley Duvall, Ray Walston, Paul Dooley
Runtime: 114 min

Despite not aging as well as some of the other movies from the late Robin Williams catalog, Popeye is perhaps one of his most iconic roles.

Adapting the cartoon was no small feat but this adaptation did a great job at bringing the spinach loving muscular hero to the big screen.

End of Watch (2012)

Genre: Action, Crime, Drama, Thriller
Director: David Ayer
Cast: Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Peña, Natalie Martinez, Anna Kendrick
Runtime: 109 min

End of Watch returns to Netflix after long hiatus away from the streaming service. The action cop movie is gritty and realistic as it follows two cops doing their job in a violent and dangerous Los Angeles.

Once Upon A Time In Lingjian Mountain (Season 1)

Another Mandarin fantasy TV series comes to Netflix exclusively on a weekly schedule starting today.

Here’s what you can expect from the fantasy series:

As the nine continents face a crisis, a young disciple joins the Spirit Blade sect and comes under the tutelage of a temperamental sage.

New episodes will be arriving weekly every Saturday.
