Living with Yourself is new on Netflix for October 18th

Welcome to your Friday roundup of what’s new on Netflix for October 18th, 2019. Today is a bumper day for new Netflix releases but relies heavily on two sources.

Firstly, it’s the biggest day for Netflix Originals to date with 13 new Originals today. It brings in a mixture of Original productions, pickups, and international acquisitions.

Speaking of international acquisitions, a bunch of brand new Nollywood titles got added today too.

Here are some of the big new titles you should be adding to your watchlist right now and we’ll include the full list of the 29 new releases on Netflix below.

The Laundromat (2019)

Genre: Drama
Director: Steven Soderbergh
Cast: Gary Oldman, Jeffrey Wright, Meryl Streep, Sharon Stone
Runtime: 95 min

You may have been reading how you may not have potentially watched The Laundromat today as a potential lawsuit threatened the Netflix release. However, it’s here.

The big movie which features a huge cast of well-known names is about a widow investigating insurance fraud which takes them to Panama and two figures which bare resemblance to the real world scandal that took place.

Living With Yourself (Season 1)

Genre: Comedy
Cast: Paul Rudd, Aisling Bea, Alia Shawkat, Desmin Borges

Paul Rudd is the big draw on this comedy series which sees him go through a transformation to try and improve his life.

So far, the series has scored some fantastic reviews from both watchers and critics meaning we believe this is going to be one of Netflix’s best comedies on the platform.

If you ever saw the Rick and Morty episode where they go for a spa day, this essentially expands on that concept.

93 Days (2016)

Genre: Drama
Director: Steve Gukas
Cast: Bimbo Akintola, Zara Udofia Ejoh, Keppy Ekpenyong-Bassey, Charles Etubiebi
Runtime: 118 min

Of all the new Nollywood movies added today, we’d recommend you give 93 Days a spin.

It takes a look at what happens when a mega virus attacks a city with over 21 million people. It’s a little rough around the edges but has a novel concept and demonstrates the growing movie production business in Africa.
