Daybreak season 1 now on Netflix – Picture: Netflix
Welcome to your daily look at what’s new on Netflix and today, Netflix has four new releases for subscribers in the United States. Below, we’ll take a look at them in more depth and hopefully, you’ll find something new to watch on Netflix.
There are only two main highlights for today but again, we stress you should go back and look at the new releases for October 22nd and yesterday, October 23rd for lots of new additions.
Don’t forget today is the last chance to watch The Carrie Diaries from The CW and A Question of Faith also leaves Netflix tomorrow.
Daybreak (Season 1) Netflix Original
Genre: Drama, Fantasy, Mystery
Cast: Matthew Broderick, Austin Crute, Colin Ford, Jeanté Godlock
Runtime: 60 min
Looking for a zombie series fused with the likes of Riverdale or The Society? Then you’ve got it with Daybreak. The series sees how teenagers deal with life in the apocalypse with a Mad Max-esque style color palette.
Personally, the future of this series looks bleak. Netflix typically releases its B-tier content on Thursday and given the fact this series is rated TV-MA despite having a genre of TV-MA it seems like it’s struggling with identity.

Echo in the Canyon (2018)
Genre: Documentary, Music
Director: Andrew Slater
Cast: Lou Adler, Fiona Apple, The Beach Boys, Beck
Runtime: 82 min
Without a doubt, our highlight of the day is Echo in the Canyon. The list of special guests that feature in this documentary alone is worth the price of admission.
The musical doc takes us to Los Angeles where we look at the historic grassroots movement that took place in L.A’s Laurel Canyon.
It scored well with critics when it released last September and now is your chance to catch it on Netflix.
