The first of the month brings with it plenty of movie releases with it and September 1st is no different. With that said, we’ve got quite a few big updates to third party TV series. Here’s the full list of what’s new on Netflix for September 1st.
Today saw 42 new releases on Netflix US that’s down slightly from the 49 that got added on September 1st, 2018. That’s also down from the first of the month last month which saw 45 new titles added.
New TV Series Highlights
Today, we got several big TV releases which is odd given most days on the first of the month sees mostly movie additions.
The two annual additions today include The Walking Dead from AMC which sees huge changes in the franchise. We also got the latest season of the ABC Marvel series Agents of SHIELD which will be ending next year.
We also got a huge update to the anime series Naruto with another full season added.
Don’t forget there’s plenty of TV series that got added last week which we picked out our favorites yesterday.
New Movie Highlights
Our three top picks of the day are as follow:
The Lord of the Rings 2 & 3- The second and third entry of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. They really do sell themselves at this point but if you’re looking for an excuse to do nothing but watch movies, you can’t beat another run through.
The second movie highlight is the tear-jerking My Sister’s Keeper which sees Cameron Diaz star in this emotion court case that sees an 11-year-old Leukemia stricken daughter sue their parents.
Zack Snyder is headed to Netflix soon with his new series Army of the Dead but for now, you can enjoy his 2006 hit 300 on Netflix. In the action-heavy movie, we see the Spartan King lead his 300 soldiers into the Battle of Thermopylae.
