Disenchantment part 2 now on Netflix – Picture: Netflix

It’s Friday and we’re back with a big catalog of new releases joining the services. There’s plenty of new titles on Netflix today so we’re going to be diving straight in with all the new releases, taking a look at what’s scheduled to leave over the weekend on Netflix in the United States.

Just as a reminder, this list is primarily for Netflix US subscribers but those in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada can find weekly roundups elsewhere here on What’s on Netflix.

We’ll have a weekly roundup of the best new movies and TV series to come to Netflix over the past week posted over the weekend.

For now, let’s run you through the 13 new releases on Netflix this week:

Disenchantment (Part 2) Netflix Original

Genre: Animation, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy
Cast: Robin Atkin Downes, Abbi Jacobson, Eric André, Nat Faxon

It’s back. It’s been over a year since we saw the debut of Disenchantment on Netflix and by all accounts, it looks like season 2 builds upon the first and is soon becoming one of the best-animated series on Netflix.

The series comes from Matt Groening who is known for his other two huge Fox series, The Simpsons and Futurama (neither of which are on Netflix anymore).

Here’s what you can expect throughout season 2 of Disenchantment:

High-spirited Princess Bean walks through hell to save a friend, learns about a mystical destiny set for her, and helps restore her father’s kingdom.

Criminal (4 Seasons) Netflix Original

Genre: Mystery, Crime, Thriller

Criminal is perhaps one of the most unique propositions on Netflix to date. Although reviews have been relatively mixed, most seem to agree it’s an interesting premise and a jolly good attempt at doing a series that crosses multiple borders.

Four seasons in total were added with each clocking in at three episodes apiece. They come from four different countries throughout Europe with the United Kingdom being the only one produced in English. There’s also a German, French and Spanish series.

Between Two Ferns: The Movie (2019) Netflix Original

Genre: Comedy
Director: Scott Aukerman
Cast: Hailee Steinfeld, Keanu Reeves, Brie Larson, Tessa Thompson
Runtime: 82 min

If you’ve ever been on YouTube you may have stumbled upon a Funny or Die series called Between Two Ferns. Now, thanks to Netflix, the series is going big with the host of the interview series traveling across the United States interviewing some of the biggest celebrities.

Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates (Limited Series) Netflix Original

Genre: Documentary
Cast: Bill Gates

Bill Gates, known for creating Microsoft and its subsequent products, this limited docu-series takes a comprehensive look back at his life. We go right to the beginning at the formation of Microsoft right up until today with his philanthropy efforts.
