Goosebumps 2, The Protector S2, The Hateful Eight added to Netflix this week

Welcome to your weekly recap of what’s come to Netflix in the United States this week. We’ll be taking a look at all the new movies, documentaries, TV series and specials to drop throughout the week.

This week follows the trend of the last couple of weeks of being relatively quiet in big releases likely because of Avengers: End Game releasing in cinema during the week and most TV attention being diverted to Game of Thrones season 8.

This week saw 39 new additions to Netflix in the United States. The compares to the 29 added to Netflix UK, 32 for Netflix Canada and 43 for Australia this week.

Before we break into the full list of new releases. Here are our top highlights of the week and if you’re wondering what’s been popular check out our list of popular new releases.

The Protector (Season 2) Netflix Original Series

The massive The Protector, and we can’t understate how big this series is, returns this week with its second season. The series originates from Turkey which is a region that has provided many big titles for Netflix over the years.

Here’s what you can expect from season 2: “Facing formidable odds against the resurgent Immortals, Hakan and the Loyal Ones must forestall sinister plans to destroy the city — and all humans.”

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween (2018)

Although the second Goosebumps movie didn’t rank quite as highly as the first, it’s still a big scoop for Netflix as it’s streaming debut for the movie.

Once again, we dive into the classic book series the movie is based on for a children’s movie that’s full of frights and can be enjoyed by all ages.

The Hateful Eight: Extended Version (Season 1)

Netflix also dropped a surprise season of The Hateful Eight. The Tarantino movie has been chopped into four parts which include some extended scenes. It works surprisingly well in this format so if you’re due for another watch of The Hateful Eight, give this a go. If you’d prefer to watch it as a movie, Netflix has that still available now.
