First of all, here are the highlights of the new Netflix releases from the past week:


Call the Midwife (Season 8)

Call the Midwife has been featured for years now on Netflix and is definitely one of the most popular British drama available on the streaming service. With the latest season having finished in March, it was only a matter of time before the latest season would arrive in the US.

With all the technology and medication available nowadays, it’s easy to forget that once upon a time things weren’t so dandy. This period drama primarily focuses on one newly qualified midwife, Jenny, who is sent to work in a convent. You know what it’s like… Going somewhere new and feeling overwhelmed by everyone and everything, but then several months later you question why it felt so scary. Jenny soon makes friends with other nurses and makes a difference in other peoples’ lives.


White Gold (Season 2) Netflix Original

The Netflix Original went on a long hiatus thanks to some very controversial issues surrounding one of the lead actors. Regardless, we finally have the latest season of White Gold to brag about and it’s only gotten more hilarious.

in Essex, England during the 1980s and follows a dodgy sales company who are looking to set the world on fire with their double glazing windows. Along with his two dysfunctional staff, Vincent Swan must keep the business afloat.


Revisions (Season 1) Netflix Original

Netflix has made it clear that they want the streaming service to be a fantastic place to find anime. With multiple titles having released this year already, May has brought us the latest Netflix Original anime Revisions. With a modern stylistic approach, the 3DCG series will likely attract anime fans old and new like moths to a flame.

Second-year high school student Daisuke Toujima was abducted when he was a young child. Involved in a special phenomenon called the Shibuya Drift, he and his childhood friends Gai, Ru, Marimari, and Keisaku were transferred to the center of Shibuya over 300 years into the future. The world they once knew has changed. What awaits them is ruins, wilderness, and the Revisions, a cyborg species intent on killing. Now they have a responsibility to Shibuya. Can they save the city? Will Daisuke be able to return home to his original time? We’ll see.
