You have a lot of great watching choices this weekend on Netflix!
It’s spring! I know you have a lot of outdoor activities calling your name…unless of course you’re in the same boat as a lot of us and are experiencing 70-degree temperatures today and have the threat of snow looming this weekend. Make up your mind, Mother Nature! If that’s you, have no fear. A ton of great titles landed on Netflix this week so you definitely have a lot of choices for your quality binging time.

6 Balloons Netflix Original
This movie deserves a spot on your list this week. Dave Franco and Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson step away from their usual comedy roles to star in this story about a woman throwing a surprise party for her boyfriend. On her to-do list is picking up her drug-addicted brother, a task that turns into all night ordeal. My knee was bouncing the entire time while watching. You can really feel the dilemma she is in while it’s happening and the strong bond between sister and brother. In a sea of movies on this subject, you won’t be sorry you spent your time on this one.
Tale of Tales
This dark movie is inspired by the 17-century fairytales by Giambattista Basile. Full of lavish costumes and sets, there are three stories each about a different neighboring kingdom. In one the king is a fornicating libertine obsessed with two sisters, in another the king is captivated by a strange animal, in the third the queen is obsessed by her wish for a child. Don’t expect Disney-type fare.
Seven
Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt star in this classic about a police detective who takes one final case before his retirement. When he and his newly transferred partner discover a number of elaborate and grizzly murders they soon realize they are dealing with a serial killer (Kevin Spacey) who is targeting people he thinks represent one of the seven deadly sins.
Sun Dogs Netflix Original
Following his third failed attempt to join the military, a misfit takes a Marine officer’s advice to”protect the homefront” a little too seriously. He enlists the help of a young runaway, and, together, they form an unlikely anti-terrorism unit. Starring Allison Janney, Ed O’Neil, and Michael Angarano, this is a very sweet and funny movie.
Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity Netflix Original
Seth Rogen teams up with a cavalcade of his friends and special guests in this fundraiser for autism. Features include the standup comedy of Tiffany Haddish, Sarah Silverman, Michelle Wolf, John Mulaney, Nick Kroll, Kumail Nanjiani, and Michael Che. Post Malone and Craig Robinson’s band The Nasty Delicious deliver some tunes. Even the Muppets stop by. It really is packed with celebrities. There are plenty of crude moments (including cartoon full frontal nudity) and dick jokes for sure, but you really couldn’t expect any less from the lineup.
