Get ready for a great weekend of Netflix bingeing.

New week, new titles! And boys howdy do you have a great weekend ahead of you. Netflix has added some brilliant titles to keep you occupied over the next couple of days. Make some cocoa and get comfy. You are about to be in for the weekend.

The Crown Netflix Original

Finally. The event we have all been waiting for is here! Claire Foy and Matthew Smith return in this sweeping historical drama that chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s to modern times. This year brings scandal and intrigue into the lives of the Royal Family. Philip is on tour, there’s a visit from Jack and Jackie, and that sister of hers is just unmanageable. I’m just going to say it. It’s even better than season one.

Craig Ferguson: Tickle Fight Netflix Original

In his first special for Netflix, actor and late night host Craig Ferguson returns to standup. His style is more storytelling rather than joke telling, but it’s amusing all the same. If you have ever seen any of his previous specials, you know he can be brutally honest. He long ago gave up drugs and drinking and he loves the U.S. In this special he approaches the current state of affairs in America with cheek and a divergent style.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

I’m not going to lie to you. All of these comic book movies are hard to keep track of. I just can’t keep all these universes straight. But one thing I do know is Guardians of the Galaxy is definitely one of the most fun. It has a kick-ass soundtrack (both movies), is funny, and keeps you glued to the screen. This title deserves to be at the top of your queue this weekend. Two words: BABY GROOT!

When Calls the Heart: Season 4

This popular Hallmark Channel show was inspired by Janette Oke’s books about the Canadian West. A young teacher accustomed to high society life is granted her first teaching assignment is a small coal town. She soon learns she must adapt and learn the simpler ways of its citizens in order to get along. This is the feel-good binge you have been looking for.

El Camino Christmas Netflix Original

From the writer/director/producer of award-winning film Hidden Figures comes this quirky, very different holiday story. It explores a bit of the darker side of Christmas, as a young man seeking the father he has never met ends up barricaded inside of a liquor store with five other people on Christmas Eve. With an all-star cast including Dax Shepard, Kurtwood Smith, and Vincent D’Onofrio it’s a different take on the spirit of Christmas.

Happy weekend and happy streaming!
