Netflix has hit another home run in the documentary department. Cancel your weekend plans because you’ll be binging.
It’s March Madness and the weekend is here! You may have your hands full of balls and shamrocks (basketballs, weirdos), but if you aren’t into Leprechauns and need some time to yourself, I have some picks for you. The week is lacking quantity, but it makes up for it with quality.
Wild Wild Country Netflix Original
This is going to be your obsession this weekend. Get comfy with tea and settle in because you aren’t going to be able to stop watching. I was already liking all that the Duplass Brothers have been contributing to Netflix, now I think I’m in love.
Do yourself a favor and go into this blindly, no Googling. This is a jaw-dropping story that is going to absorb a good part of your weekend. It will be worth it. I don’t even want to tell you too much about it because I don’t want to spoil it. Watch this trailer and then go press play.
Ricky Gervais: Humanity Netflix Original
After 7 years, Ricky Gervais is back on the stage and as acerbic as he ever was. He’s back with the same enthusiasm and energy I remember and I loved it. If you’re easily offended perhaps this isn’t for you. But if you’re easily offended you probably aren’t a Ricky Gervais fan in the first place.
Benji Netflix Original
What can I tell you about this movie other than it’s adorable? Brought back to the screen by the original writer’s son, it’s warm and charming and hits all the right family movie marks. If you have little ones, watch this movie with them this weekend. They will love it.
*Warning: This movie will make your kids want a dog. They will want THAT dog. He’s freaking delightful.
