New Releases on Netflix UK (13th June)

Well, this week has been quiet to say the least; almost half of the films added have been on previously and are now available again. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that it’s a bad thing, because there’ll be lots of newer members who never had the chance to see them last time. But there’s also a bit of an undertone (well, more of a blatant overtone actually) from a number of people on social media sites that the films that have been added or returned are just a little low in the quality factor.

However, fans of Woody Allen should be pleased as three of his films have arrived this week. “Deconstructing Harry” stars Woody Allen as author, Harry, who is suffering from writer’s block. Harry is haunted by an array of people – some who are real and others who were simply characters from his previous books. Allen directs, and stars along side Drew Barrymore in the romantic, musical comedy “Everyone Says I Love You”. The third, and final, Allen film this week  puts him in the directors chair for “Celebrity” – a witty drama about what people will do to get, or stay, famous.

Disney’s 1994 live-action “The Jungle Book” makes an appearance for the younger viewers. Follow Mowgli’s adventures through the jungle after having been raised by animals from a young age.
