New Releases on Netflix UK (21st October 2016)

2016-10-21Oh what a great day for TV series on Netflix with both “Black Mirror” and “American Horror Story” getting new seasons added.

Season 5 of the anthology series “American Horror Story” has arrived on Netflix UK. Set around Hotel Cortez in Los Angeles, the series follows two killers: the “Ten Commandments Killer” and “The Addiction Demon”. Watch it if you like dark, creepy horror.

Charlie Brooker’s “Black Mirror” has found a new home on Netflix after Channel 4 lost the rights to it. For the uninitiated, the series is made up of standalone episodes based around how technology affects us and is, in general, pretty chilling. They are always just that little bit over-the-top but the scary part being that they’re actually not that far from the truth… The new series will consist of 12 brand new episodes, the first 6 are available right now.

If you’re fed up of hearing about the US Presidential elections and the impending doom it will subsequently bring acrss the world, then you might appreciate “Undecided: The Movie”. This mockumentary follows two ‘undecided’ voters as they interview the real life candidates including Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush and more.

“Little Black Book” is a romantic comedy from 2004 where Stacy, a talk-show producer, wants to find out more about her boyfriend’s past relationships. However, he doesn’t want to discuss them so she steals his PDA (this was before smartphones were really a thing) and contacts them all under the guise of interviewing them for a talk-show.

The late Robin Williams stars in the great family film “Bicentennial Man”. The Martin family buy an android to help out with menial tasks and household chores but it soon begins to show emotion. As it learns more emotions, over 200 years or so, Andrew the Android learns more about humanity while trying to stop his creators from destroying him.

SO those are my picks for this week, read on for the full list of this week’s additions:
