It’s February already and we have a list of 33 new releases to share with you today. This week, February 9th 2018, this list consists of 18 new movies, three new documentaries, 10 new TV series and, finally, two new stand-up series. As we do every week, we’re going to pick out our favourite three in the hope that you’ll enjoy one of them this weekend. Failing that, there’s plenty more to choose from when looking through the full list of releases added to Netflix UK this week.

If you’re into science fiction with a mix of horror then our first pick is something you might enjoy to watch. The new Netflix Original, titled The Cloverfield Paradox (2018)is about a group of astronauts who have to find their way back home after they get lost in an alternate dimension. This film was produced by J. J Abrams and is next in line after Cloverfield (2008) and 10 Clover Lane (2016). Bad things happen when devices need to be tested, and that’s exactly what these astronauts find out when an energy crisis needs to be solved. This film might just be a great Saturday night watch.

It seems science fiction is high on our list today, as we have another one that we think is worth watching. Our second pick this week is Beyond (2017), which introduced its second season on Netflix UK this week. Imagine waking up after being in a coma and finding out you’d changed. Imagine having powers that you couldn’t explain or understand. One man ended up possessing powers that lead him into something deeper than he expected. If you’ve not quite caught up yet, season one is still available to watch as well, so this is a great opportunity to sit on the sofa for hours on end.

Our final pick this week is slightly different than the others, and is one that is ideal at this time of the year. With the kids off for half term, you might be wanting something for them to watch while you do the house work. The Adventures Of Puss In Boots (2015) is on its sixth series on Netflix, so whether the kids watch that series or start from the beginning, there’s so much for them to enjoy. Alternatively, this is a great family comedy series for you to watch together. The greatest feline in all the lands goes on many adventures and you’ll meet some of your other favourite characters along the way.
