Blade Runner 2049 is now available to stream on Netflix UK

As September arrives this weekend, Netflix UK has once again had a quiet week with the addition of 29 new titles. There have been some excellent new Originals added this past week, so there is still plenty to be enjoyed. Here’s what’s new on Netflix UK, August 30th, 2019.

Blade Runner 2049 (2017)

Many fans were surprised that the 80s sci-fi classic received a sequel, to even greater surprise was overwhelming praise the from fans and critics alike. With amazing visuals and an equally fantastic score, you’ll be blown away by Blade Runner 2049.

It’s been thirty years since the former blade runner, Rick Deckard went missing. Officer K is the new blade runner for the Los Angeles Police Department and unearths a long-buried and grave secret that threatens to destroy what little is left of society.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance: Season 1 N

Arguably one of the most highly anticipated Originals of 2019, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is finally here. The Jim Henson Company looks to have outdone themselves once again with the return of the world of Thra.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is a prequel series to 1982 classic The Dark Crystal. Taking place prior to the events of The Dark Crystal, the story is centered around 3 Gelflings that discover the source of the evil Skesis power. Upon learning the vile creatures secret the trio undergoes a legendary quest to ignite the fires of rebellion and save the world of Thra.

Falling Inn Love (2019) N

Christina Milian stars in her very first Netflix Original, in the romantic comedy Falling Inn Love. If you’re looking for an easy watch this weekend then look no further.

Losing her job and thus losing her boyfriend, Gabriela is down on her luck. When she spontaneously enters a contest to win a rustic New Zealand Inn, her luck changes and she wins the competition. Traveling thousands of miles to see her new home, the “Bellbird Valley Farm,” isn’t quite what she imagined. The crumbling home with a goat for a house guest and a pesky neighbor that tries to covet space leaves Gabriela with no choice but to ask for help. Partnering with kiwi contractor Jake Taylor, the pair hit it off with Jake falling for her city-girl charm. But Gabriela is faced with a choice that will change her life forever, will she continue the life she’s building or sell the farm and return to the life she left behind?
