The Theory of Everything is now available on Netflix UK
After the huge haul from last week, we have far fewer titles to report on this week. That’s not to say any titles are lacking quality, and there are some excellent titles to be watched from our list below. Here’s what’s new on Netflix UK this week for July 12th, 2019.
First of all, here are the top highlights from this week.
The Theory of Everything (2014)
It was only a matter of time before the life story of Stephen Hawking was adapted into a film. The fascinating real-life story had critics raving about the excellent portrayal of Hawking by actor Eddie Redmayne. His portrayal even earnt him an Oscar for Best Actor at the 87th Academy Award.
At the age of 21 Cambridge University student, Stephen Hawking is diagnosed with a motor neuron disease. Despite his illness and with his wife Jane at his side, Hawking still pursues his passion of science. His groundbreaking ideas change the field of physics forever and in the process cementing his place as one of the greatest scientists to have ever lived.
Point Blank (2019) Netflix Original
Point Blank is based on the novel of the same by French author Fred Cavayé. The film was adapted into a screenplay by Adam G. Simon and stars MCU actors Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo. This is the third Original title Anthony Mackie has starred in and will be starring in his fourth title when Altered Carbon returns for season 2.
When his pregnant wife is kidnapped and held as collateral, Paul, an ER nurse, must team with the badly injured career criminal and murder suspect under his charge in order to save the lives of his wife and unborn child. Pitted against rival gangs and a deadly ring of corrupt cops, the unlikely duo find a way to survive together in the fight of their lives
Blown Away (Season 1) Netflix Original
Perhaps the idea for this contest came from the viral success of glass making videos on social media. Regardless, some of the greatest glassmakers in the world have come together to compete for $60,000 and the title of champion.
