Shaft is now available to stream on Netflix UK
There are 30 brand new titles to be enjoyed on Netflix UK this week. That may seem slim compared to last week but with July only days away we can expect to see a great number of titles arriving in the next week. There’s also a little show called Stranger Things that returns for Season 3 next Thursday… Anyways, here’s your full list of what’s new on Netflix UK this week for June 28th, 2019.
First of all, here’s the past week’s highlights:
Shaft (2019) Netflix Original
Three generations of Shaft take centre stage as Richard Roundtree and Samuel L. Jackson return to portray the iconic private investigator. New to the family is Jessie Usher who portrays John Shaft the third. The film has bombed at the box office in America but if you’re looking for a fun, high thrills adventure then look no further.
John Shaft Jr. the grandson to John Shaft Sr. works for the FBI as a cybersecurity expert. He’s going to need more than just his computer skills if he’s going to uncover his best friend’s untimely death. Enlisting the help of his Dad, Junior is in for one hell of an education from his legendary father. As the father and son pair run rampant through the seedy underbelly of Harlem, both men have a score to settle, both professional and personal.
7SEEDS (Season 1) Netflix Original
After a two month delay due to productions constraints, 7SEEDS is now available to stream on Netflix! An anime adaptation has been a long time coming considering the manga lasted from November 2001 to July 2017. With 35 volumes to the franchise’s name expect plenty more to come from 7SEEDS.
When a group of astronomers correctly predict that Earth would be hit by a meteorite, the leaders of the world draft a plan to ensure the survival of humanity. The Seven Seeds project will take a select group of young individuals from each country and will be cryonically preserved so they can survive the impact from the meteor. It would be determined by a computer that Earth is can support human life and will revive each group. Upon awakening, the group of survivors is greeted to a hostile unknown world, devoid of human life.
Slasher (2 Seasons)
It’s been a long time coming but the Canadian slasher-horror series is now available to stream on Netflix! In a weird turn of events, only the first two seasons are available to stream but hopefully, the third season will be coming soon. The series acts as an anthology series with each season having its own self-contained story. If you’re a fan of MTV’s Scream then you’re going to love this show!
