Princess Bride (1987)
Princess Bride is a romantic-fantasy-comedy adventure based on the 1973 novel of the same name. One of the best films of the late 80Ss, Princess Bride featured a charming ensemble of cast members including Robin Wright (House of Cards, Forrest Gump), Fred Savage (The Wonder Years). An aspect of the film was recently parodied by Once Upon a Deadpool in which Fred Savage played himself and Deadpool acted the Narrator of the story as Savage was in bed.
While too ill to go to school, a young grandson is read a tale of love, heartbreak, fantasy and adventure by his Grandfather. After long being separated from his dearly beloved, Westly must go on an adventure to save his one true love from marrying the prince of Florin.
Love, Death & Robots (Season 1) Netflix Original
David Fincher has arguably been one of the best directors of the past few decades. With smash hits such as Se7en, Fight Club and The Social Network, you could be hard-pressed to disagree. Taking a step back from the director’s hot seat and has helped produce one of the most visually captivating series to date. Created, written and directed by Deadpool director Tim Miller, the animated series consists of 18 Minisodes, each with its own unique animation and story.
The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann (Season 1) Netflix Original
The real-life kidnapping of Madeleine McCann has been the most high profile kidnapping of a child in the British media. Madeleine’s kidnapping has been one of great bewilderment and one that multiple teams have tried to get to the bottom of. The potentially controversial documentary was not approved of by the McCann parents as they fear it may hinder the ongoing investigation. Regardless a team has led an investigation themselves into her disappearance and try to come to a conclusion on her potential whereabouts and if she’s still alive.
