What’s New on Netflix UK This Week: May 17th, 2019

The Fate of the Furious is now available on Netflix UK

It’s been a busy week on Netflix with 57 brand new additions to watch in the UK. If you’ve still got a backlog on your watch list then you best starting making room for even more. Here are all the latest titles added to Netflix UK this past week.

First of all, here are the highlights from the past week:


The Fate of the Furious (2017)

The eighth title of the long-running Fast & Furious franchise continued to make Universal an incredible amount of money raking in $1.2 Billion at the box office. With no signs of stopping anytime soon, the latest film in the series Hobbs & Shaw arrives in cinemas later this year, so what better way to get you hyped than a high octane, action-packed thrill ride? There isn’t one, so get watching people!

After the events of the last film, the crew disbanded to try and find some semblance of normality from their high octane lives. Dom and Letty finally married, while Brian and Mia retired from the crew all together. It’s not long before fate has other plans for the furious when the mysterious woman named Cipher somehow convinces Dom to betray the crew and join her on her journey of chaos. With the crew back together, they must unite against Cipher and bring back their old friend from unleashing hell on Earth.


See You Yesterday (2019) Netflix Original

Previously a successful short film form a few years ago, director and creator Stefon Bristol finally got the go-ahead to make See You Yesterday into a feature-length film. Easily one of the greater Original films to date, See You Yesterday deserves a watch.

Longtime friends C.J. Walker and Sebastian Thomas are teenage prodigies, both have incredible intellect and bright futures ahead of them. But when C.J.’s brother is wrongfully shot by a police officer the two teenagers build a time machine to stop the wrongful killing. The pair are successful in jumping back in time but will soon learn time-travel is more complex than they ever thought possible.


Shaun of the Dead (2004)

Arguably the film that paved the way for actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, Shaun of the Dead is one of the best Zombies movies of the 21st century. The first of the ‘Cornetto Trilogy’ Shaun of the Dead is a bloody and hilarious homage to the Zombie genre, best get it added to your watch list right now!

Shaun is a 30-something guy who has become a dull loser. When his girlfriend breaks up with him because of his childish nature, Shaun is forced to take a hard look at himself. Deciding to get his life in order, there is just one thing that stands in his way…a zombie apocalypse. After coming up with a plan to save his girlfriend, her annoying friends, and his mother, they must make their way to their safe haven, The Winchester Pub.
