Welcome to your Thursday roundup of the new releases on Netflix for April 11th, 2019. Today, we’ve got three new titles for your viewing pleasure two of which are brand new Netflix Originals and the other which is likely the last ever Fox show to ever come to Netflix in the United States.

Black Summer (Season 1) Netflix Original Series

Genre: Action, Drama, Horror, Thriller
Cast: Sal Velez Jr.

Z Nation fans were shorthanded last year with the cancelation of the show by Syfy. Fortunately, Asylum Films who is behind parody movies like Sharknado and had Black Summer in production. The zombie series is set before the events of Z Nation.

In the dark, early days of a zombie apocalypse, complete strangers band together to find the strength they need to survive and get back to loved ones.


Persona (Collection 1) Netflix Original Series

Genre: Drama, Korean
Cast: Doona Bae, Iu, Hae-soo Park

Netflix has had no problem in collecting some of the best Korean dramas as of late and Persona has been highly anticipated by fans of the genre.

The series takes four directors and allow them to explore different stories featuring different personas.


New Girl (Season 7)

Genre: Comedy
Cast: Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Hannah Simone

Today is a big day as it represents the likely end of the Fox / Netflix relationship with no new content lined up for the future and the fact most Fox shows have now left Netflix.

New Girl has been one of the most popular Fox sitcoms in recent years with Zooey Deschanel playing Jess who now lives with three single guys in an attic after a breakup.

The seventh season is set three years later after season 6 and sees the gang return and wraps up all the major storylines.
