Let’s be honest, most are sitting at home patiently waiting for the brand new season of Game of Thrones to start and we don’t blame you. Netflix does have a few new offerings this weekend that may help tide you over until the main event.
As we said in our weekly roundup, it’s been a quiet week and looking ahead to week, there’s not much change at the moment. May, on the other hand, is looking like a fantastic month.
Here’s what’s new on Netflix for April 14th, 2019:
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Season 4)
Genre: Comedy, Musical
Cast: Rachel Bloom, Donna Lynne Champlin, Vincent Rodriguez III, Pete Gardner
Runtime: 42 min
Awards: Won 1 Golden Globe
The CW releases continue on Netflix this week with the fourth and sadly, the final season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend joining Netflix today. The series follows Rachel Bloom’s fictional character who is just a little obsessed with her boyfriend. He ends up moving to get away from her but she also makes the move too. It’s been a regular staple of the comedy lineup from The CW which also includes Jane the Virgin whos final season also airs soon.
Here’s what you can expect this season:
Following a string of very questionable decisions, Rebecca vows to take responsibility for her actions — but goes a little overboard.
Antidote (2018) / Thriller (2018)
Two relatively poor horror/action movies dropped on Netflix today both scoring fairly low on the IMDb score. We’ve grouped them together as there’s limited information for each production on the internet so you’ll just have to rely on the two descriptions.
Antidote is described as the following:
A tough-as-nails treasure hunter protects a humanitarian doctor as she tries to cure a supernatural disease caused by a mysterious witch.
Thriller is described as:
When a prank goes wrong, a shy kid from Compton is sent away for murder. Four years later, he’s back and out for revenge on homecoming weekend.
