Hello and welcome back to your daily recap of everything that’s new on Netflix. This week once again saw the Netflix Originals spread across the week but there’s plenty of new titles added today. Let’s take a look at what’s new on Netflix for April 19th:

The Mayo Clinic or as it’s referred to officially by PBS “The Mayo Clinic, Faith, Hope and Science” is a documentary by the well-known documentary director, Ken Burns.
The documentary which stars Tom Hanks and Sam Waterston is about a real-life clinic back in the late 1800s that could arguably be said to lay the foundations of modern medicine.
I, Daniel Blake (2016)
Genre: Drama
Director: Ken Loach, Laura Obiols
Cast: Dave Johns, Hayley Squires, Briana Shann, Dylan McKiernan
Runtime: 100 min
Language: English
Awards: Won 1 BAFTA Film Award. Another 24 wins & 30 nominations.
This British movie from 2016 scooped a myriad of various awards and is one of the highest rated titles added to Netflix so far in April 2019 too.
The movie takes a look into the life of a man trying to battle the government system after suffering a heart attack.
Someone Great (2019)
Genre: Comedy, Romance
Director: Jennifer Kaytin Robinson
Cast: Rosario Dawson, Brittany Snow, Gina Rodriguez, LaKeith Stanfield
Runtime: 92 min
While we’re waiting for Jane the Virgin season 5 to release on Netflix in the US, Someone Great is a great stop gap.
The rom-com is about a girl who goes on an adventure with her two best friends after a breakup in New York City. The movie comes from a relatively unknown writer/director who was involved with ‘Sweet/Vicious’ on MTV.
