New on Netflix for December 23rd

Watership Down (Limited Series)

You may have heard a lot about Watership Down recently and it’s probably been mostly negative. The animation has been getting a hard time but given its only four episodes and the fact that it has a ridiculously impressive cast, it’s worth the watch.

Among the cast is James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, John Boyega, Ben Kingsley, Peter Capaldi, Nicholas Hoult, and many many more recognizable names.

The story looks to retell the classic novel and movie that came before it. It’s certainly toned down from its older counterpart but still contains some brutal messages.

Not everywhere got Watership Down on Netflix today. For those in the United Kingdom, you’ll have to watch through the iPlayer.

The Little Hours (Movie)

You may have missed this romantic comedy from 2017 but now is your chance to catch it on Netflix. It features the talents of Aubrey Plaza, Alison Brie, Dave Franco, Kati Micucci, Fred Armisen, and John Reilly too.

It’s about a man who has to seek refuge among a group of unstable nuns while resisting the urge to hook up. It’s utter nonsense but the strong cast makes it very watchable.

The Lord of the Skies (El Señor de los Cielos) (Season 6)

For the Spanish speakers among you is the latest season of the Telemundo series, The Lord of the Skies. The series follows a drug lord who is one of the best in the business.

The series is also available in subtitles for those who aren’t Spanish speakers.

While you’re here, have you checked out what’s coming to Netflix in January yet? There’s plenty on the way including The Incredibles 2, Grace & Frankie season 5 and more!
