Chef’s Table Volume 6 is now on Netflix
It’s Friday which means a fresh batch of brand new Netflix Originals just touched down on Netflix around the world. Here’s your daily recap of everything new that’s now available on Netflix in the United States for February 22nd, 2019.
If you’re in the mood for something that isn’t a Netflix Original, four titles dropped yesterday which may pique your interest.
In total, 16 brand new titles touched down on Netflix today so here are a few highlights and then we’ll take you through the full list of new releases on Netflix below that:
Workin’ Moms (Season 1) Netflix Original
Type: TV Series
Genre: Comedy
Netflix has had some success carrying Canadian comedies with the most notable being Schitt’s Creek which is now a global hit. Hoping to replicate this winning formula is the release of season 1 of Workin’ Moms on Netflix globally.
The first season sees a new mother come to grips with the hardships of raising a child and heading back to work.
The good news for those wanting a long series is that seasons 2 & 3 have already aired or begun airing so expect more seasons on the way in the future.
Chef’s Table (Season 6) Netflix Original
Type: Docuseries
Genre: Cooking
Episodes: 4
The longest running Netflix Original docu-series by a country mile is back for its sixth volume. The sixth series of the show (which doesn’t include the two spin-off specials either) is back to cover more chefs from around the world.
This season we’ll be focusing more on American chefs with the first two episodes covering Sean Brock and Mashama Bailey. We also see the talents of Italian chef Dario Cecchini and Indian chef Asma Khan.
Paddleton (2019) Netflix Original
Type: Movie
Genre: Drama
Runtime: 89 minutes
The big Netflix movie of the week comes from Alex Lehmann and stars Mark Duplass and Ray Romano (who recently got a comedy special on Netflix) and to be honest, it’s a rather dreary affair. The movie is about two neighbors who go on a journey to help one’s life end as he discovers he has terminal cancer.
Reviews for this movie has been good so far with it currently holding a 94% on RottenTomatoes and similar good scores on IMDb and Metacritic.
The Unknown Man (2014)
Type: Documentary
Runtime: 103 minutes
This documentary feature sets out to answer one question. Why is the man above smiling? In case you don’t recognize him, he’s the former United States Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfield.
This documentary which spans one hour and 43 minutes is a biography of his political life which extends to the early 1960s. It’s no doubt controversial and it touches on the invasion of the Iraq war in 2003.
Rebellion (Season 2)
Type: TV Series
Genre: War, Drama
Rebellion is finally back after a three-year hiatus but comes with many changes and if you live in Ireland, you’ll also know the show was carried under a different name for season 2.
Only the United States got Rebellion today with other regions getting it in early March.
