What’s New on Netflix: January 1st, 2019

Indiana Jones franchise now streaming on Netflix US

We’ve been promising a big January 1st lineup and it has arrived in style. Here’s a look at some of the best and the full list of the nearly 100 movies and TV series added to the service on January 1st, 2019.

We’ll include a raw list of new titles added today at the bottom but here are a few of the highlights of the new additions. For full listings including trailers, ratings from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic, directors, cast list and more head over to our what’s new on Netflix hub.

A Series of Unfortunate Events (Season 3)

It’s been a fantastic three seasons of A Series of Unfortunate Events that concludes with its third and final season. It sees the Baudelaire’s ongoing struggle against Count Olaf come to an end.

The series continues its lavish and stylish story that’s created by Lemony Snicket.

Indiana Jones Franchise Added

It’s rare that Netflix manages to secure the license to all of the movies in the franchise. In this instance, they’ve scored a massive haul with all four Indiana Jones now joining the service.

With a new movie likely on the horizon this is a perfect opportunity to catch up on the movies that dominated in the ’80s and the newer one that most hope to forget.

COMEDIANS of the world (4 Seasons)

We’re mentioning this title, not particularly because it’ll appeal to everyone but how ambitious it is. It collates 47 comedy sets across 13 countries in four seasons of comedy stand-up.

Good Girls (Season 1)

Although The Good Place still dominates the comedy lineup on NBC, one of the new debut shows is Good Girls. It arrived on Netflix internationally as an Original but as we predicted, it’s now on Netflix US.

The series stars Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman who star as three women who get into trouble after robbing a store to get their lives back.
