Goyo: The Boy General now on Netflix worldwide
Welcome to your Saturday edition of what’s new on Netflix. We’re looking at all the titles that have come to and that have left Netflix for January 26th, 2019.
It’s relatively quiet today with only two foreign pickups for the Netflix library. Before you grown, don’t worry, Netflix added plenty of English titles yesterday.
Biggie & Tupac (2002)

This documentary which is created by the British documentarian Nick Broomfield, takes a look into the murders of two prolific rappers. It also takes a look at their legacy (from the standpoint of 2002) and uncovers some previously unknown details leading to their death.

This is going to be a very niche movie but for those who enjoy the history of the Philippines or the surrounding area, this is a must-watch. Clocking in at over two and a half hours, it’s a long ride too and sadly, you’ll need to get accustomed to subtitles as no English dub is available.
The movie serves as a sequel to Heneral Luna (also on Netflix and we’d advise you to watch first) and is about the next general of the Phillippines army. He’s unconventional in the sense he’s young and is a brash ladies man.
Goyo scored well with critics from its home country when it first released in 2018 but is now available around the world. Most countries carry it as a Netflix Original except the United States which got it as a normal release today.
A Taiwanese Tale of Two Cities (Season 1) Netflix Original
Fans of this Korean show will know that episodes have been releasing weekly in most regions of the world but today represents the first chance to watch all episodes in a single sitting.
The series is about someone from Taipei who trades life with someone in San Fransisco and how their lives differ in the two respective countries.
There’s no English dub available for this title so you’ll have to watch using the various subtitle options available.
