Occupation now on Netflix
It’s time to look at all the new releases on Netflix for January 3rd, 2019 which sees four new titles added including two new movies, one documentary and a stand-up special.
Without further ado, here’s a look at what’s new on Netflix for today.
Occupation (2018)
Type: Movie
Genre: Sci-fi
Looking for a sci-fi flick? Occupation could be for you. It features everything you’d hope from a B movie, aliens and a barely coherent plot.
The story is of a small group of residents who come under attack from an unknown force and it’s down to them to save the town.
To be fair to the movie, the special effects are quite good compared to others that share this space.

Pope Francis: A Man of His Word (2018)
Type: Documentary
This is an hour and a half documentary following around the newest pope. It attempts to flesh him out as a human being as he travels around the world preaching and meeting groups.
The movie doesn’t touch on some of the more controversial elements of the faith in the 21st Century so therefore will not be converting any skeptics in the audience.
The movie comes from Wim Wenders who’s known for his works such as Wings of Desire, Paris Texas and The American Friend.
One Day (2011)
Type: Movie
Genre: Romantic Drama
Another romance movie just touched down on Netflix today in the form of One Day. It comes after yesterday when Netflix dropped “Last Night” which we told you to ultimately avoid.
This movie does a slightly better job and performs a well-rounded, if nothing special, romantic drama. The movie is directed by Danish director Lone Scherfig and features the talents of Anne Hathaway, Jim Sturgess, and Patricia Clarkson.
Netflix also added a new stand-up special to the service today from Moshe Kasher.
