What’s New on Netflix: January 5th, 2019

Tales by Light Season 3 now on Netflix

Today has been a quiet day for new Netflix releases with the bulk of the new releases made up of new foreign movies. Here’s an overview of what’s new on Netflix for January 5th, 2019.

In case you missed any of the new releases over the past week, we’ve prepared a week review for you covering every movie and series added. We’ll also be back tomorrow with a preview of the announced titles on the way over the next 7 days.

Tales by Light (Season 3) Netflix Original

This wasn’t originally planned for release during January and heck, we didn’t even know it was coming back for a third season, but we’re glad it is.

In case you’re not familiar with the documentary series, it follows photographers and filmmakers from around the world traveling across the world to capture places, animals and people.

The six episodes that make up season 3 include traveling to Indonesia, Arnhem Land and Bangladesh.

Mara (2018)

In the mood for some horror? Then you might be better off looking elsewhere as this title was universally panned when it released during September of last year.

The movie is about a woman who goes looking into mysterious cases of several people who died unexplained. She begins developing systems of the previous victims to find out she’s being hunted by an ancient demon.
