All American – Picture from The CW
It’s time to go through the new Netflix releases for March 28th and as we slowly approach the end of the month, Netflix has a few tricks left in its sleeves. Today, we’ve got three new titles to cover but tomorrow there is likely going to be a dozen new releases.
Today we got the second release of the year from The CW which is in the form of the first season of All American (the first was Black Lightning on March 26th). We were expecting the series to be available right at the beginning of the year but that wasn’t the case.
Here’s what’s new on Netflix for March 28th:
All American (Season 1) The CW Release
Genre: Drama, Sport
Cast: Daniel Ezra, Bre-Z, Greta Onieogou, Samantha Logan
Runtime: 45 min
The CW is mostly known for its superhero series, comedies and teen dramas but this year, they’re branching out into sports drama. All American season 1 debuted last year and features 16 episodes.
The series follows a high school football player from South Central who is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High School football team. The series received rave reviews last year and is pegged to get a second season.
Netflix is lacking some good football titles after the removal of Friday Night Lights in January 2019 and all of the 40 for 40 titles being dropped in recent years too. Hopefully, All American is the first of many titles on the way in the genre.

Ainori Love Wagon: Asian Journey (Season 2) Netflix Original
Genre: Reality-TV
Cast: Becky, Audrey, Mayuko Kawakita, Shimon Okura, Asako Ito, Natsuna
Language: Japanese
Netflix has been the king of bringing over reality series from Japan with Terrace House being the most prominent.
Netflix is back just under a year since the first season released with season 2 of Ainori Love Wagon. The show sees people travel around Asia in a bus hoping to find a love connection. This season, the show’s subjects kickstart their journey in India.
