Good Sam is now on Netflix
Welcome to your Thursday roundup of what’s new on Netflix but sadly there are only three new titles added this week. Never-the-less, we’ll be taking you through the new additions and they include three new movies of which one is a brand new Netflix Original.
If nothing takes your fancy today then there were plenty of new releases yesterday including Call the Midwife’s latest season.
Here’s what’s new on Netflix for May 16th:
Good Sam (2019) Netflix Original Movie

Avoiding the crammed release day tomorrow packed full of new Originals is Good Sam. The new comedy movie featuring Tiya Sircar who you may know from her role on NBC’s The Good Place has her playing a news reporter.
The story follows her as she looks into the case of someone mysteriously getting $100k landing on their doorstep and tries to find who did it.
Early reviews suggest this may be a title that should potentially be skipped but honestly, we’d suggest taking a look at the trailer and giving it a try or go ahead and read our full preview.

Runtime: 94 min
Believe it or not, this is the latest movie to come as part of the Disney contract to Netflix. The next is The Nutcracker and the Four Realms which is due out later this month. It’s no wonder there hasn’t been much fan-fair for this one as reviewers absolutely hated it.
The premise of the movie is described by the hashtag of the movie which is #PugActually. That’s right, this movie is centered around a pug and her new owner who is desperately trying to find love.
The third movie today is Jonaki (2017), a Bengali movie which has streamed on Netflix in the past. Here’s what the movie is about:
“In this quiet, wistful drama, a woman on her deathbed searches her fraying memories for love and fulfillment through surreal, meditative tableaux.”
