The Nutcracker and the Four Realms – Disney
Happy Tuesday and the chances are most of you are heading back to work and school today after the long Memorial Day weekend. If you’re coming home looking for something new to watch on Netflix, then there are four new titles for you to watch. Here’s what’s new on Netflix for May 28th, 2019.
There’s plenty to look forward to this week including all the June 1st additions coming on Friday and the myriad of new Originals on Friday.
For now, here’s what’s new on Netflix today.
Atone (2019)
Genre: Action
Director: Wes Miller
Cast: Robert Rusler, Columbus Short, Scott Elrod, Jaqueline Fleming
Runtime: 89 min
Written and directed by Wes Miller this B-rated movie sees a former special ops soldier take down a team of hijackers who have kidnapped her daughter.
Sadly, the movie features some pretty bad reviews from IMDb specifically aimed at the poor acting. Maybe worth a go if you’re keen on controversial movies.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (Season 4)
Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama, Sci-Fi
Cast: Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Amy Louise Pemberton, Dominic Purcell
Legends of Tomorrow completes this year’s new additions from the Arrowverse. Although reviews for season 4 aren’t as good as those that came before it, the series continues following the band of misfits who are tasked with saving the world.
Here’s what to expect from the new season: “Joined by John Constantine, the Legends face a new threat as magical beasts and mythical monsters begin slipping through the boundary between worlds.”

Lifechanger (2018)
Genre: Horror, Thriller
Director: Justin McConnell
Cast: Lora Burke, Jack Foley, Elitsa Bako, Rachel VanDuzer
Runtime: 84 min
Some new horror today that’s written and directed by Justin McConnell. Much like Atone, the B-rated movie has split audiences down the middle.
Here’s how the movie is described: “A shapeshifter has to kill, then inhabit his victims, or die. But as his need for new bodies speeds up, he finally faces down his own mortality.”
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018)
Genre: Adventure, Family, Fantasy
Director: Lasse Hallström, Joe Johnston
Cast: Mackenzie Foy, Tom Sweet, Meera Syal, Ellie Bamber
Runtime: 99 min
Today’s final addition also sparked some debate with regards to its quality. The Nutcracker movie from Disney is one of the very last Disney movies to make its way onto Netflix with Wreck-It Ralph 2 and Mary Poppins Returns the final two movies to find their way onto Netflix.
The all-star cast appears in this retelling of the classic story which sees a young girl whisked away into the magical world filled with gingerbread soldiers and an army of mice.
