Lucifer season 4 is now on Netflix
Welcome to hell as we go through the new releases on Netflix for May 8th. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for something new besides the new season of Lucifer today you may be left disappointed. Here’s what’s new on Netflix US for May 8th, 2019.
There’s still plenty left to look forward to this week including Insidious that’s due out tomorrow as well as The Mechanism season 2 due out on Friday as well as Easy season 3 and others.
Now here’s what’s new on Netflix today:
Lucifer (Season 4) Netflix Original
Genre: Crime, Drama, Fantasy
Cast: Lauren German, Tom Ellis, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside
Netflix picked up the fourth season of Lucifer after the show was canceled by Fox after three seasons. It’s slightly revamped the format of the title and reviews so far have been impressed with the changes.
If you’re new to the series you should have access to all the previous seasons (unless you’re in the UK) to catch up but it’s essentially about the devil who comes to Earth because he’s bored and helps out the police track down criminals.
The new season sees Chloe dealing from the fallout of season 3 and Lucifer must face off against a rogue priest.
All of the other releases today come from Malaysia and are TV series from the free-to-air station named TV3. Although some may be of interest to a select few, the majority of people will pass over these. We will, however, draw your attention to the one we think will have the most Western appeal.
Unchained Fate (Season 1)
Genre: Drama, Sci-fi
Cast: Lenna Lim, Jack Tan, Rickman Chia, Rabbit Chen, Kopi Lim Guo Wei, Agnes Wang
Language: Mandarin
This series is a mix between Doctor Who, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and a series you’d see from a network like Syfy.
It’s about three people who are tasked with protecting the world from evil armed with magic crystals that give them the ability to control time and communicate with spirits.
It’s by far the most appealing of the nine TV offerings from Malaysia today.
