Ant-Man and the Wasp now streaming on Netflix

Tuesday usually includes a small number of titles but today is slightly different. Today, Netflix is getting the very last Marvel movie that’s part of the Disney deal plus a bunch of other titles too. Here’s what’s new on Netflix for January 29th, 2019.

It’s going to be a big week for new Netflix releases with The Incredibles 2 showing up on January 31st as well as all the February 1st additions planned for Friday.

Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) Disney Exclusive

Genre: Comic book movie
Runtime: 118 minutes
IMDb Score: 7.1/10

Premiering after Infinity War in 2019, this movie is the second solo outing for Ant-Man but it does fit in with the main story.

Scott Lang is still dealing with the aftermath of Civil War and is under house arrest with her daughter visiting occasionally. He’s bored out of his mind but trying to keep out of trouble.


High Society (2018) Netflix Original

Genre: Drama
Runtime: 137 minutes
IMDb Score: 4.6/10

Netflix has picked up a lot of Korean dramas in recent years but most have been series. This new movie that is just over two hours long takes us the elite of South Korea who lives different lives to us common folk.

It’s about a deputy curator of an art gallery and her economics professor husband who stopping at nothing to become a member of the elite. Netflix labels the movie as steamy.


Inside the Mossad (Season 1)

This four-part documentary will take accounts from former agents Israel’s foreign intelligence agency. It goes back to the second world war but also includes more recent events such as Israel’s efforts to disrupt the Iran nuclear programme.

No doubt this will be a controversial docuseries for some but it’s worth noting the series is filmed in Hebrew but has English subtitles.

Last Day to Watch

Today is your final day to watch Antibirth before it leaves Netflix tomorrow (January 30th).

The movie stars Natasha Lyonne (who’ll soon be appearing in Russian Doll coming on February 1st) and is a horror movie about a woman who attends a party and soon becomes pregnant. However, the circumstances of her pregnancy grow stranger by the day.
