The Sense Netflix K Drama Horror Preview

A new Netflix horror K-drama, The Sense, is in development. Production updates have been slow, but we hope filming will get underway sometime in 2024. We’ll be keeping track of everything you need to know about The Sense, including the plot, cast news, production updates, and the Netflix release date.

The Sense is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original horror drama series directed by Lee Jung Heum, who previously directed the Netflix series Inspector Koo.

What is the plot of The Sense?

The synopsis for The Sense has been sourced from AllKpop;

“‘The Sense’ tells the story of students at a catholic high school who can see, hear, and speak to spirits. The story begins when a ferocious, evil spirit awakens for the first time in 10 years. It’s up to the students at Shinyoung Catholic High School and their eccentric homeroom teacher to capture this troublesome spirit.”

Who are the cast members of The Sense?

So far, only three cast members have been confirmed for The Sense.

Han Ye Ri has been cast in an unnamed leading role. The actress has yet to star in a Netflix Original. Still, she has been featured in K-dramas in Netflix libraries worldwide, such as Hometown, The Nokdu Flower, Age of Youth, and My Unfamiliar Family.

Shin Shi Ah has been cast in an unnamed leading role. A relative newcomer to acting, Shi Ah has only had a handful of roles since her first acting role in the K-drama My Darling Boyfriend. Like her fellow co-stars, Shi Ah will debut on Netflix in The Sense.

What is the production status of The Sense?

Official Production Status: In Development (Last Updated: 17/01/2024)

At some stage during the script writing of The Sense, there was a report that the project had been scrapped due to conflict over the script; however, Higround, the production company responsible for the K-drama, denied the allegations about the project being scrapped.

Higround had the following to say about the allegations;

“The information saying the production has been canceled is wrong. The script is currently in the midst of being revised, and the schedule will resume once the detailed revisions are complete. There seems to have been a miscommunication during production.”

Hopefully, filming will get underway later this year.
