Universal Pictures’ breezy new romantic comedy You, Me & Tuscany is officially packing its bags for streaming. Following its theatrical run this past spring, the star-studded rom-com has set its initial SVOD debut on Peacock for August 2026, meaning we now know exactly when it will be heading to Netflix US.

Released in US theaters on April 10th, 2026, and hitting PVOD shortly after on May 12th, You, Me & Tuscany is the latest feature from director Kat Coiro, who is no stranger to the genre after helming Jennifer Lopez’s Marry Me (and recently directing on CBS’s Matlock). The film features a screenplay by Ryan Engle (RampageBeast), based on an original idea by Ryan and Kristin Engle.

Halle Bailey (The Little MermaidThe Color Purple) stars as Anna, a former aspiring chef drifting through her twenties who, after suddenly losing her housing and job, impulsively jets off to Italy to secretly crash at a handsome stranger’s empty villa. However, her unauthorized European getaway quickly spirals out of control when the villa owner’s intimidating mother (Italian film icon Isabella Ferrari) drops in unannounced, forcing Anna to pretend she is actually the owner’s fiancée. Things get even more complicated—and a lot more romantic—when she crosses paths with the owner’s charming cousin, Michael (Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page).

Based on a screenplay by Ryan Engle, the film also features Nia Vardalos, Marco Calvani, Lorenzo de Moor, and Aziza Scott.

While theatrical romantic comedies can sometimes be a tough sell at the modern box office, You, Me & Tuscany had a lot working against it, and sadly, it didn’t set the box office on fire by any means, grossing over $20 million on its $18 million budget, but we suspect it might become a good streaming hit.

The movie did earn solid reviews from critics and audiences alike, the film received praise that was largely directed at the undeniable, red-hot chemistry between Bailey and Page.

When is You, Me & Tuscany coming to Netflix US?

As we’ve been tracking with our ongoing coverage of Universal Pictures movies coming in 2026 and beyond, Universal’s live-action slate now follows a strict, fast-tracked 18-month Pay-1 window. That includes Netflix beginning early 2026, a year earlier than originally planned which has meant the likes of Five Night’s at Freddy’s 2, Jurassic World: Rebirth, Bugonia, Him and others have all came to Netflix US.

These films don’t come to Netflix immediately. Instead, they head to Universal’s own streaming service, Peacock, for an exclusive four-month window first. You, Me & Tuscany is set to make its SVOD debut on Peacock (via WhenToStream) next month on August 7th, 2026.

Exactly four months after that Peacock debut, the Tuscan sun will shine on Netflix. That means You, Me & Tuscany will officially release on Netflix US on December 7th, 2026.

Once it arrives, it will remain on Netflix for exactly ten months before rotating back over to Peacock for the final four months of the Pay-1 window.

We’ve added the December release date to our Streaming Calendar. If you can’t wait until August or December to watch Anna’s European getaway, you can buy or rent the film from one of our digital retail partners below, and check out the official trailer!
