Netflix UK will once again be getting weekly episodes of the popular NBC talent show, America’s Got Talent. Season 14 is due to begin airing on NBC from May 28th, 2019 and will be coming to Netflix UK shortly thereafter.
It’s not uncommon for Netflix UK to get exclusives from the US with weekly episodes. There have been many cases previously with the likes of Better Call Saul, Black Lightning, Riverdale and countless more getting weekly drops onto the service.
America’s Got Talent is a talent show that was imported from the UK which premiered Britains Got Talent all the way back in 2007. It airs on NBC and features a relatively similar format. It starts with the auditions and then moves onto the final live shows where you can vote for the winner.
It’s not the first time Netflix in the United Kingdom has managed to pick up the talent show either. The first time was last year when it managed to secure the weekly rights to season 13. It also got America’s Got Talent: The Champions earlier this year and even picked up American Idol too.
New episodes arrive two days after their US premiere. That means episode one of America’s Got Talent season 14 airs on NBC on May 28th before arriving on Netflix on May 30th. It’ll be made available at roughly 8 AM BST.
Season 14 sees a new host take over from Tyra Banks who presented for seasons 12 and 13. Terry Crews who’s mostly known for his role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine at the moment is taking over the post.
The judges this season includes Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union who replaces Mel B and Julianne Hough who’s replacing Heidi Klum. Guest judges this season includes Jay Leno, Brad Paisley, Ellie Kemper, and Dwayne Wade.
Will America’s Got Talent be on Netflix in the US or other regions?
Sadly, only the United Kingdom gets talent show imports from the United States. In the US, you can find the show available on the NBC app or even Hulu.
