If you’ve been hoping for more of the One Chicago universe to make its way to Netflix, we’ve got some good news for you. What’s on Netflix has learned that Chicago P.D. is set to touch down on Netflix in multiple international regions—including the UK, most of Europe, Latin America and more—on August 1st, 2026.
As many of you will know, Netflix has been leaning heavily back into licensed content over the last couple of years, and NBCUniversal (Universal Television) has been one of their biggest partners. Following the monumental “Suits effect,” we’ve seen Netflix scoop up rights to huge network procedurals to keep subscriber engagement high, and Dick Wolf’s shows are always a massive draw.
While Chicago Med has enjoyed stints on Netflix in various regions around the globe, it’s finally time for the Intelligence Unit to get in on the action.
Debuting back in 2014 as the first direct spin-off to Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. follows Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and his elite Intelligence Unit as they tackle the city’s most formidable crimes. The procedural is gritty, action-packed, and exactly the kind of highly bingeable network television that historically crushes it on the Netflix top 10s.
What regions are getting Chicago P.D. on Netflix?
According to our intel, a large portion of Netflix’s international territories will be licensing the show starting on Saturday, August 1st, 2026.
We can currently confirm that Netflix UK and Netflix France are definitely on the roster, alongside a broader rollout across much of Europe, including the Netherlands and Spain. We can also see it’s set to release in Latin America, including Brazil, and in other global territories, such as some Asian territories and Australia. If you search for Chicago PD a page should come up if it’s coming to your region. If nothing pops up, you’re out of luck for the moment.

How many seasons are coming?
This is the big question. Currently, we don’t have confirmation on exactly how many seasons of Chicago P.D. will be included in the August 1st drop.
As a veteran NBC staple, the show has over a decade’s worth of episodes. When Netflix licenses these massive legacy shows internationally, they rarely get the global rights to every single season all at once. It’s highly likely we’ll see a batch release—perhaps seasons 1 through 4, or 1 through 6—with subsequent seasons being added at a later date, although don’t rule out a quick single-year license as we saw with Chicago Med.
Will Chicago P.D. be on Netflix in the United States?
If you’re reading this from the US, we’ve got some bad news. Chicago P.D. is not currently scheduled to hit Netflix US on August 1st.
Because it’s an NBC broadcast show, the exclusive streaming home for the entire One Chicago franchise in the States is Peacock. While we occasionally see Universal TV strike co-exclusive licensing windows for the US (as they did with Chicago Med and Chicago Fire a few years back), right now, Peacock is keeping Voight and the 21st District firmly behind their own paywall.
We’ll be keeping this post updated as we learn more about which specific seasons and additional countries are included in the August 1st rollout.
