A brand-new adult animated series, Haunted Hotel, from the creators of Rick and Morty, is coming to Netflix in September 2025. The cast has been revealed, which includes Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides, and Jimmi Simpson. Here’s everything we know so far about the Haunted Hotel (previously known as The Undervale) on Netflix.
Haunted Hotel is an upcoming Netflix Original adult animated comedy series created by Matt Roller, who also serves as the showrunner and an executive producer. He is joined by fellow executive producers Chris McKenna, Dan Harmon, and Steve Levy.
Titmouse is the animation studio behind the series, with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina also acting as Executive Producers for the studio.
Showrunner Matt Roller shared his excitement to be working on the series in a statement:
“I’m thrilled to be working with Netflix and an amazingly talented cast and crew to bring to life the stories of the dead, the evil, and the struggling hospitality workers at the Undervale Hotel”
Netflix’s Director of Adult Animation also shared a statement about the series:
“Haunted Hotel is wildly inventive and I’m very grateful to Matt, Chris, Dan, and their team for bringing their talents to Netflix.”

When is Haunted Hotel coming to Netflix?
Netflix has confirmed that Haunted Hotel will be released worldwide on September 19, 2025. It’ll consist of 10 episodes total with each consisting of 30 mins each.

What is the plot of Haunted Hotel?
Netflix has provided a synopsis for Haunted Hotel:
“A single mother of two struggles to run a haunted hotel with the help of her estranged brother, who is now one of the ghosts haunting the hotel and thinks the other ghosts have some pretty good ideas.”

Who is in the cast of Haunted Hotel?
So far, five cast members have been confirmed to star in Haunted Hotel: Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth) as Nathan, Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings) as Katherine, Skyler Gisondo (The Righteous Gemstones) as Ben, Natalie Palamides (The Powerpuff Girls) as Esther, and Jimmi Simpson (Dark Matter) as Abaddon.
Additional cast members include Drew Tarver as Lonny and Duncan Trussell as Stabby Paul.
