As is tradition for the first of the month, Netflix is getting a massive influx of licensed movies and shows. Between a massive drop of classic franchises (including every Rocky, Creed, and Karate Kid movie), a new season of a beloved sci-fi comedy, and some high-profile originals, there is plenty to keep you glued to your screens.

Office Romance (2026)

Rom-com fans, assemble! Jennifer Lopez is back in her element, teaming up with Ted Lasso breakout Brett Goldstein in this highly anticipated summer flick. Directed by Ol Parker (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again), the film stars J.Lo as Jackie Cruz, a perfectionist CEO who strictly enforces her company’s anti-fraternization policy. But when she hires an ambitious new attorney (Goldstein), those rigid rules are put to the ultimate test. Promising plenty of laughs, a saucy tone, and undeniable workplace chemistry, this is exactly the kind of breezy movie you want for a Friday night in. The Witness (Limited Series)

Coming to Netflix: Friday

Continuing Netflix’s incredible run of football-centric releases this summer (following last week’s Brazil ’70: The Third Star), this original film takes us to the unforgettable 1986 World Cup. Blending historical sports drama with high-stakes tension, the movie promises to be a visual spectacle for both die-hard soccer fans and general audiences alike.
