Netflix has just dropped the first look and official trailer for one of its most anticipated rom-coms of 2026, Office Romance. Bringing together global superstar Jennifer Lopez and Ted Lasso standout Brett Goldstein, this R-rated workplace comedy is officially set to hit your screens globally on Friday, June 5th, 2026.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new raunchy comedy, including a breakdown of the brand-new trailer following the first look reveal last week, and our reporting on its unexpected R-rating for “sexual material, language throughout, and graphic nudity,” in addition to its runtime of 1 hour and 52 minutes.

As a reminder, the plot of Office Romance flips the traditional workplace power dynamic, promising a fresh and edgy take on the classic rom-com genre.

The new official logline reads:

“Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein lead this charming and raunchy romantic comedy. Lopez plays a powerful CEO and Goldstein is her airline’s newest lawyer. Their secret Office Romance takes off when these two workaholics stop playing by the rules and start following their hearts.”

Lopez stars as Jackie Cruz, the President, CEO, and sometimes-pilot of Air Cruz. She runs a tight ship, strictly enforcing a rigid anti-fraternization policy among her employees. Enter Daniel Blanchflower (Goldstein), the airline’s newest lawyer. As the trailer hilariously highlights, Daniel finds himself instantly smitten with his dynamic boss. The two inevitably embark on a secret relationship that threatens to destroy everything Jackie has built.

Who is behind Office Romance?

The script was penned by Ted Lasso co-creators Brett Goldstein and Joe Kelly, who reportedly wrote the film specifically with Jennifer Lopez in mind as the ultimate rom-com star. Sitting in the director’s chair is Ol Parker, who is no stranger to the genre, having directed hits like Ticket to Paradise and Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!

Alongside Lopez and Goldstein, the film boasts a massive, star-studded ensemble cast, including:

  • Edward James Olmos (Reuniting with Lopez to play her father, Captain Jack Cruz, nearly three decades after they starred together in Selena!)
  • Betty Gilpin
  • Amy Sedaris as Julie Schatz
  • Jodie Whittaker as Lizzy
  • Mary Wiseman as Clair
  • Tony Hale as George Zein
  • Bradley Whitford as Peter Vance
  • Roger Bart as William Butten
  • Rick Hoffman as Carl Gunderson

The supporting cast is incredibly deep, featuring familiar comedy faces like Jackie Sandler, Michelle Hurd, Ali Stroker, Lisa Gilroy, Will Sasso, Tony Plana, Donald Elise Watkins, Natalie Ortega, Brian Gallivan, Scott Seiss, and Mo Welch.
