Author Elísabet Benavent’s successful streak on Netflix continues! Following the massive hit adaptations of her novels, Netflix has just announced the release date and shared a sun-soaked batch of first-look images for All the Truth Behind My Lies (Toda la verdad de mis mentiras). The new limited series will drop globally on August 28, 2026.

If you’re a fan of Netflix’s Spanish offerings, you’re likely already familiar with the “Benavent Cinematic Universe.” The author has enjoyed a highly fruitful relationship with the streamer, previously giving life to four seasons of the fan-favorite series Valeria, the hit miniseries A Perfect Story (Un cuento perfecto), and the feature film Sounds Like Love (Fuimos canciones).

We’ve had our eye on this one for a while, having previously teased it in our roundup of new and returning Spanish series to look forward to in 2026. Now, Netflix has officially unveiled everything we need to know about the upcoming summer drama.

Here’s your complete preview for All the Truth Behind My Lies:

What is the plot of All the Truth Behind My Lies?

Based on Elísabet Benavent’s homonymous novel published by Suma, the story promises a potent mix of friendship, romance, and deeply buried secrets.

Here is the official logline provided by Netflix Spain:

“The miniseries tells the story of Coco and Marín, two best friends who have been living together for years. With their entire friend group, they are about to embark on a caravan trip to celebrate the bachelorette party of their friend Blanca. What should be an adventure celebrating friendship turns into a ticking time bomb as the secrets hidden among them slowly begin to be revealed.”

As seen in the first-look images provided by Netflix today, the show leans heavily into its summer road-trip aesthetic. We get glimpses, via polaroids, of the gang chilling on the beach, a bride-to-be rocking a veil over a moped helmet (and later, hilariously, over a wetsuit), beach volleyball, and a retro yellow caravan that will serve as the pressure cooker for all those resurfacing secrets.

Who is cast in the series?

The series boasts a stellar lineup of Spanish talent. The main duo, Coco and Marín, are brought to life by actors who have previously worked together, promising great chemistry:

  • Daniel Ibáñez (Segundo premio, Manual para señoritas)
  • Itziar Manero (Manual para señoritas, Las chicas están bien)

They will be joined by a vibrant ensemble cast that makes up their tight-knit (but secretive) friend group, including:

  • Ricardo Gómez (La Suerte: una serie de casualidades, Cuéntame cómo pasó)
  • Brays Efe (Paquita Salas, Tengo que morir todas las noches)
  • Lucía de la Fuente (Tóxico, Las brujas de Zugarramurdi)
  • Clara Sans (Innato, Celeste)

Who is behind the series?

Fans of Valeria will be thrilled to know that much of the creative DNA from that show has carried over. The series is produced by Plano a Plano (the powerhouse production company behind Valeria, Toy Boy, and A Perfect Story), led by producer César Benítez.

The project features a predominantly female creative crew. It is co-directed by María Togores and Marina Pérez. Pérez (who also served as a creative mind on Valeria) pulls double duty here, having penned the scripts alongside Montaña Marchena.

Elísabet Benavent herself remains closely involved, serving as an executive producer alongside Ángel Armada and Marina Pérez.

While early development reports suggested a 7-episode run, Netflix’s official press release confirms that the final product has been neatly packaged into a 5-episode miniseries. Filming for the show officially wrapped back in early August 2025, giving the post-production team plenty of time to polish this summery drama.

When will All the Truth Behind My Lies be on Netflix?

You won’t have to wait much longer to see how this disastrous bachelorette party unfolds. Netflix has confirmed that all five episodes of All the Truth Behind My Lies will premiere globally on August 28, 2026.
