October has already seen some late surprise additions, and joining that list is Dawson’s Creek, which will begin streaming in the United States again from tomorrow, October 3rd, 2025.

Originally airing on The WB between 1998 and 2003, the cult classic teen drama series was created by Kevin Williamson, with a cast that included James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams, Joshua Jackson, Kerr Smith, Meredith Monroe, Busy Philipps, and Mary Beth Peil.

Described as a “nighttime soap,” the series follows “a group of close-knit teens and frankly depicts the issues of adolescence that obsess young adults, including sex, sex, and sex.”

Netflix confirmed the last-minute addition to the schedule on X earlier today, stating that “The Complete Series,” encompassing all six seasons and 128 episodes, will be released on October 3rd. Whether the re-addition applies to Netflix internationally is unknown. The series also resides on Hulu in the US.

The last stint for Dawson’s Creek occurred during the pandemic, when Netflix acquired the show on November 1, 2020, and streamed it for 18 months, with its run on Netflix concluding on May 1, 2022.

The addition back then also included several international territories, such as Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and others. According to FlixPatrol, the show was featured in the daily top 10s in 20 countries, although surprisingly, the US was not one of them. Top-performing countries at the time included South Africa, Italy, Ireland, and New Zealand.

We don’t know how long the next stint on Netflix will last (we’ll update this post once we do), but it does come at a time when Dawson’s Creek is back in the news. Last month, the cast of the show had a small reunion in New York City.

As you may know, Netflix teamed up with the creator of Dawson’s Creek for a new series that launched in June 2025. Titled The Waterfront, the series garnered solid reviews and viewership, but despite this, it was cut prematurely and canceled in late August

As we reported earlier in the week, Netflix has also acquired the BBC period drama series Poldark, which will be available in full starting in mid-October. Other licensed show pickups this month include Dark Wind season 3, HaloThe Way Home, and several other hit shows from AMC. For the full list of what’s coming up on Netflix throughout October 2025, keep it locked here on What’s on Netflix.
