Everything You Missed In The Sandman S2 Trailer

Pictures: Netflix

Sandman fans rejoice! Netflix has just released the official trailer for the second and final season of The Sandman — and it looks epic! In this post, we take a look at all the things you may have missed.

July 2025 is officially the summer of Sandman on Netflix. The show’s final season begins with its first volume on July 3, before returning for its final volume on July 24. Beyond that, the series also wraps up a special bonus episode, Death: The High Cost of Living, dropping on July 31.

With The Sandman season 2 being the show’s final season, showrunner Allan Heinberg has been tasked with cramming a crazy amount of content into the concluding eleven episodes — and also a bonus spinoff episode. We know that some of the main storylines of the season include Season of Mists, Brief Lives, The Kindly Ones, and The Wake. The season will also cover several one-shot issues from the comic, such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Thermidor and The Song of Orpheus. It’ll cover the ending of the beloved graphic novels, meaning fans don’t need to be concerned about being left on any cliffhangers.

Ahead of the show’s final season, Netflix has finally released an enormous, 2-minute-long trailer. Check it out:

The trailer shows off moments from the entire season — not just the forthcoming Volume 1. Some key moments include Dream’s confrontation with Lucifer Morningstar, where he ends up in possession of the much-coveted Key to Hell. There are a few moments of Dream’s story with Nada; a key storyline in the season. At long last, too, is a first look at favourite returning character, The Corinthian.

Naturally, trailers are fast-paced. It’s hard to catch everything that shows up, but fear not; Netflix has also released myriad high-quality stills of moments from the trailer, and we’ve taken some sneaky screenshots. We’ll show you each still, as well as which episode it appears in.

Episode 1, Season of Mists

Episode 1 begins with Destiny (Adrian Lester) calling the Endless family together for an urgent meeting. Before Dream attends the family gathering in Destiny’s realm, he’s in the process of rebuilding his kingdom. We also have an image of Despair (Donna Preston) during the family meeting, as well as a still from a backstory featuring Dream and his past love Nada:

Death: The High Cost of Living

The High Cost of Living adapts the spinoff graphic novel of the same name, in which Death spends a day living as a mortal, mingling among humanity, to better grasp the gravity of her duties as one of the Endless. During her time on the mortal plain, she meets Sexton (played by Merlin star Colin Morgan), whom she spends the day with.
