The Hotel Del Luna writers, the Hong Sisters, are again teaming for Netflix’s brand new K-drama project, Grand Galaxy Hotel. Lee Do Hyun and Shin Shi Ah have been confirmed as the series leads. Details are still limited, but here’s everything we know so far.
Grand Galaxy Hotel is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original series directed by Oh Choong Hwan and written by Alchemy of Souls and Hotel Del Luna writers Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran. The series is produced by IMAGINUS.
What is the plot of Grand Galaxy Hotel?
We have a small synopsis for Grand Galaxy Hotel:
“A unique tale unfolds when the manager of a hotel—ranked #1 in customer satisfaction for decades among spirit reapers’ top memorial hotels worldwide—suddenly goes missing, setting o a mysterious chain of events in the afterlife.”
Who are the cast members of Grand Galaxy (WT)?
Four lead actors have been confirmed for Grand Galaxy Hotel: Lee Do Hyun, Shin Shi Ah, Lee Soo Hyuk, Lee Su Hyun.
At the time the project was announced, Go Min Si had been approached to play the female lead, but Shin Shi Ah was cast instead.
Lee Do Hyun will play Eun Ha. He has starred in several Netflix K-dramas, including Sweet Home, The Good Bad Mother, The Glory, Melancholia, and Prison Playbook.
Eun Ha is the new hotel owner. He has a moody demeanour and a mysterious past, who arrives after the previous manager suddenly vanishes.

Shin Shi Ah will play Ko Sang Sun. She previously starred in the popular Netflix medical drama, Resident Playbook, the sequel to the beloved K-drama Hospital Playlist.
Ko Sang Sun is the hotel’s only human employee and the new hotel manager. She is a dedicated hard worker and has a talent for befriending ghosts.

Lee Soo Hyuk will play Baek Gi. The actor has only starred in one Netflix project, the K-drama Tomorrow. He is most well known for starring in K-drama such as Queen Woo, S Line, and Lucky Romance. He is also due to have a cameo role in the upcoming Netflix series Boyfriend on Demand.
Baek Gi is a free spirited grim reaper, who cleans up the remnants of evil spirits.

Lee So Hyun will play Seok San. The actress is a newcomer to the acting industry and so far has only starred in one K-drama, Family Matters, which she recieved high praise for her acting debut.
Seok San is described as “A mysterious woman with an eerie and dangerous aura.”

What is the production status of Grand Galaxy Hotel?
Filming for Grand Galaxy Hotel was scheduled to begin on September 17, 2025! It is scheduled to last for several months, concluding in April 2026.

With the official announcement from Netflix we can categorical confirm that production is underway on Grand Galaxy Hotel.
When is the Grand Galaxy Hotel Netflix release date?
With filming scheduled for September 2025 to April 2026, it’s increasingly likely that Grand Galaxy Hotel will not be released on Netflix by the end of 2026.
A 2027 release is the most realistic.
