However, several months after the series debuted on Netflix, it has yet to be renewed for a second season, but renewal may be imminent, as reports have circulated that the K-drama is being renewed for a second and third season. The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call is an South Korean Netflix Original drama series and adaptation of the webtoon Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour by Lee Nak Jun. The series is directed by Lee Do Yoon (Confession) and written by So Hyun Kyung (Two Weeks) and Choi Tae Kang (Adamas). The series is produced by Studio N.
The series is one of the best-performing K-dramas on Netflix so far in 2025. The series spent 5 weeks in Netflix’s global TV top ten, and even spent a week at number one, amassing 184.5 million hours viewed for a total of 26.6 million completed views. Thanks to the engagement report for the first half of 2025, we do know that The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call was watched for 34.1 million completed views.
Has Netflix renewed Trauma Code: Heroes on Call?

While Netflix has not confirmed anything official yet, a Korean news outlet, Xports News, has recently reported that production has been confirmed for the second and third seasons of Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. However, a spokesperson for Netflix reportedly confirmed to Edaily that “We are reviewing the production of a sequel to ‘Trauma Center,’ but nothing has been confirmed yet.”
To add further fuel to the flames, Lee Nak Jun, the original creator of Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, said in a video for the channel Dr. Friends that the series was created with a second and third season in mind.
So, while nothing is official as of yet, it seems like we’re very close to seeing the series renewed for at least a second season.
