It’s a good day to be a Miraculous fan with Netflix. The streamer is gearing up to release a double-hitter of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir content, with a brand new special dropping at the end of April, followed immediately by the highly anticipated fifth season on May 1st.
If you’ve been struggling to keep track of the release schedule for the globally beloved French animated series, you aren’t alone. Between regional broadcast rights and split seasons, it can be a headache. But we’ve got official confirmation on two major drops heading to the streaming service in almost all territories including the United States and the United Kingdom.
Of course, the franchise has become widely accessible in recent years, with Disney the primary home for new seasons in the United States and the United Kingdom, and other local distributors coming on board.
Here’s a breakdown of what’s coming to Netflix, when it drops, and what you can watch right now.
Miraculous World: Paris, Tales of Shadybug and Claw Noir (Special)
Coming to Netflix: April 30th
First up is the third special in the Miraculous World series. Following the heroes’ previous globe-trotting adventures to New York and Shanghai, this latest special brings the action back home to Paris—but with a multiverse twist.
Tales of Shadybug and Claw Noir introduces an alternate universe where our heroes’ counterparts are actually the villains, forcing Marinette and Adrien to face off against dark versions of themselves.
Regional Availability: We’ve confirmed this special is rolling out globally on Netflix on April 30th. The only exceptions is Brazil, where Netflix does not currently hold the streaming rights.
Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir (Season 5)
Coming to Netflix: May 1st

Just 24 hours after the Paris special drops, the main storyline continues. The official broadcast of Season 5 of Miraculous is finally making its way to Netflix. While Season 5 has already been available in select territories such as France and Korea, this May 1st drop marks the official launch for the rest of the world.
Wait, doesn’t Netflix already have 6 Seasons? If you log in to Netflix US right now, you’ll see the show listed as having “6 Seasons” (with the most recent batch added in March 2024). Don’t let the interface confuse you! Historically, Netflix has acquired the rights to Miraculous in batches, often splitting the official, standard broadcast seasons into multiple smaller “seasons” on their platform. The May 1st drop marks the arrival of the full Season 5 broadcast.
What other Miraculous content is currently on Netflix?
If you are looking to do a massive binge-watch before the new drops arrive, Netflix currently holds the streaming rights to a solid chunk of the franchise. Here is what you can stream right now:
- Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir (2021) – The flagship series (currently listed as 6 seasons due to the aforementioned platform splitting).
- Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie (2023) – The big-budget feature film retelling of the heroes’ origins, which launched as a Netflix Original.
- Miraculous World: New York, United Heroez (2020) – The first Miraculous World special.
- Miraculous World: Shanghai, The Legend of LadyDragon (2021) – The second Miraculous World special.
- A Christmas Special: Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir (2016) – A holiday-themed musical episode.
Despite being widely available elsewhere, Miraculous still pulls in very strong viewership for Netflix. Sifting through all the Netflix Engagement Reports covering viewership from 2023 through the end of 2025, the series and its various specials have locked up 926 million (yes, just shy of a billion) hours watched globally.
