Filming is in full swing for season 2 of The Gentlemen, and this season will be venturing abroad with extensive filming now underway in Northern Italy at the iconic Lake Maggiore and Verbania, a lakeside town in the Piedmont region, right on the western shore of the lake.
Netflix officially confirmed that filming for Season 2 of The Gentlemen was underway earlier this month, accompanied by a couple of behind-the-scenes snaps, as well as the news that the cast has expanded to include several new names. Among the new names are:
- Hugh Bonneville (I Came By, The Agency)
- Benjamin Clementine (Dune, Blitz)
- Benedetta Porcaroli (The Leopard, Amanda)
- Michele Morrone (Another Simple Favour, The Housemaid)
- Sergio Castellitto (The Star Maker, Conclave)
- Amra Mallassi (Dune: Part Two, Hijack)
- Tyler Conti (Tell Me Everything, Safe)
- Chris Eubank Jr (professional boxer)
- Maya Jama (TV host, broadcaster, and entrepreneur)
Speaking about the new season, Guy Ritchie said, “This chapter sees a deliberate expansion, both geographically and thematically, as we journey from the English countryside to the Italian lakes. Eddie and Susie find themselves navigating an increasingly volatile empire as they’re besieged on all fronts by an influx of enigmatic new players. The stakes are heightened, the power dynamics are more precarious, and I’m thrilled to be collaborating once again with this exceptional cast and crew.”
Filmed on June 18, 2025, the new set photos from The Gentlemen Season 2 capture Theo James cruising across Italy’s Lake Maggiore and sharing screen time with co-star Jasmine Blackborow. James, reprising his role as Eddie Horniman, is seen aboard a sleek boat under a hovering drone and interacting with fans between takes. The snapshots also show him laughing with Blackborow as they shoot new scenes for the Netflix series. Set in Verbania, Italy, the production blends the show’s signature crime drama aesthetic with a stunning European backdrop. Jasmine Blackborow, who’ll continue to play Charly in season 2 and also recently added to the cast of Legends for Netflix, was also present throughout many of the shots.

The majority of the cast has made the trip over to Italy, with Kaya Scodelario, Harry Goodwin, and Ruby Sear also spotted.
Local outlet La Stampa notes that filming will continue through July 4, 2025, and also reports that the production has constructed a pier in front of Villa Rusconi Clerici.
The move to Italy for filming on season 2 doesn’t come as a huge surprise, given that we noted that Italy was amongst the filming locations planned for season 2 and given the inclusion of several big stars from the region, it was inevitable that we’d be seeing Italy on our screens in season 2.
