Bollywood fans had a lot to celebrate in September, as it was a particularly busy month for new movies.
This month saw Netflix add the surprise theatrical hit of the year Saiyaara, a new Original Hindi film, the final episodes of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3, and the showstopping Original movie industry drama The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Phew! Here are all of the Indian movies and series added to Netflix in September 2025.

New Indian Movies on Netflix: September 2025
Inspector Zende (2025) N

Netflix’s newest Original Hindi film takes a popular movie subject — charismatic serial killer Charles Sobhraj — and puts a twist on his story, telling it from the perspective of the cop that captured him twice. Filmmaker Chinmay Mandlekar fictionalizes Sobhraj’s character to fit better with the lighthearted tone of the movie, renaming the murderer “Carl Bojhraj” (Jim Sarbh). When Inspector Madhukar Zende (Manoj Bajpayee) hears that Bojhraj has poisoned the guards and broken out of Tihar Jail, the cop jumps into action. He caught Bojhraj once before, and he can do it again, even if he has to drag a mismatched crew of inspectors to the vacation hotspot of Goa to do it. Saiyaara (2025)

Saiyaara is the unexpected box office hit of 2025. Breakout stars Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday play Vaani and Krish, respectively. Vaani wants to get her writing mojo back after a bad breakup. She finds an ideal muse in rough-edged musician Krish. Adding her emotional lyrics to his heartrending songs brings Krish within touching distance of the fame he’s always wanted, but a medical crisis makes him question if his rock and roll dreams are really the most important thing in his life. Mahavatar Narsimha (2025)

Mahavatar Narsimha is the first installment in an intended 7-part franchise of animated films based on the avatars of Vishnu. The avatar featured in the first film, Narsimha, is a half-man, half-lion form that Vishnu adopts to protect his young follower Prahlada from the boy’s demon father, Hiranyaksha. Even though Mahavatar Narsimha is animated, it’s intended for an adult audience and comes with warnings for fear, gore, and violence. Nil (Siddhant Chaturvedi) and Vidhi (Triptii Dimri) form an instant connection at college, but caste differences threaten more than just their romance. Dhadak 2 is a sequel to 2018’s Dhadak in name only. It’s actually a remake of the 2018 Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal.

Son of Sardaar 2 features the last performance by the late Mukul Dev (Qila).

First-time director/creator Aryan Khan — son of icon Shah Rukh Khan — offers movie fans a peek behind the gilded curtain with The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Lakshya plays Aasmaan Singh, an industry outsider whose career is on the rise. He runs afoul of the entrenched nepotism network when he’s paired opposite superstar Ajay Talvar’s (Bobby Deol) daughter Karishma (Sahher Bambba) in her first film. But Ajay Talvar won’t let Karishma debut with someone who lacks a Bollywood pedigree, setting up a showdown between insiders and outsiders.
