With 44 new titles added to the Netflix UK library this week, there’s plenty for UK subscribers to binge on this weekend. Will Ferrell returns to Netflix with brand new sports-comedy series The Hawk, and all 12 seasons of Bones are also available to stream. This week has also seen the addition of incredible films such as Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, the two-time Academy Award-winning film Mystic River, and the finale of the UK’s beloved teenage romance, Heartstopper Forever.

The Hawk
Will Ferrell’s brand new comedy steps into the world of golf, playing the role of Lonnie ‘The Hawk’ Hawkins
“Lonnie Hawkins,2004’s number one golfer, struggles on the back nine of his career to recapture his magic. His body says retire, but his heart says he’s not done yet. His ex-wife and his son Lance, golf’s new golden boy, know he’s through. But with one more major to win to complete golf’s Grand Slam, Lonnie refuses to believe he’s anything other than one stroke away from the greatest comeback in golf history.”
Mystic River
One of the best films of 2003, the film saw Academy Award wins for Sean Penn in the best actor category and Tim Robbins for Best Supporting Actor.
Three childhood friends from Boston, Jimmy, Sean, and Dave, are reunited decades later by a horrific tragedy: the brutal murder of Jimmy’s teenage daughter. Sean, now a detective, is assigned to the case, while the devastated Jimmy seeks his own street justice. As the investigation deepens, suspicion falls heavily on Dave, whose fragile psyche is still haunted by a childhood trauma.
Tenet
With Nolan’s latest film The Odyssey, now in cinemas, it comes as no surprise that another film from the director’s filmography has been added to the UK library. One of the most divisive films of his career, Tenet is certainly worth multiple watches to get your head around the concept.
A nameless CIA operative known as the Protagonist is recruited into a secret global organization. Tasked with preventing World War III, he must master “time inversion,” a technology that allows objects and people to move backward through time. Guided by fellow operative Neil, the Protagonist tracks a ruthless Russian oligarch who is weaponizing this technology from the future. To save the world from total annihilation, he must navigate a complex, non-linear reality in which cause and effect collide, culminating in a spectacular, time-based battle against the clock.
